I do not know why Indian culture is dragged in this issue?

But whats your point in regards to this crime?
ANS:
I believe Crenshaw was making a point. See his second post on this thread.

I don't believe it is a part of any culture. However, when a child in a Canadian family died due to the mother's negligence, one member thought that was representative of 'such people and such society'. Many of you appeared to agree, or perhaps if you disagreed you didn't voice your opinion with the speed with which you have responded to this post.

Therefore the question, is this part of 'Indian culture'?

If one member in the past has put up a baseless comment, is it necessary for other members to follow the suit?

I don't see any logic in relating a particular crime to an entire culture.

Going off on a tangent again and back to food...
Whose idea was it to name stuff like taco, burritos, pizza, subs, lasagna videsee food in the poll? And if that junk is considered food what happened to the ubiquitous hamburger?
Food is:
Steak in peppercorn sauce
Lobster thermidor
Prawns newburg
Fondue bourguignonne
calamari
Chicken parmesan
and the like......
The stuff in the poll is usually referred to as "junk food" except maybe lasagna, pasta, Chinese.
Of course one can always consider it food if one wishes. This is theoretically a society and country where one can by and large express one's thoughts, despite Rosie Dimanno's article being scratched from the on-line files.I am just going by the general conception of food and junk food
Chinese is also considered food, but of the cheap variety. Take away kind of stuff. A good buffet with 50-60 items and even more at China buffet costs around $5-$6.
But then we are back to Hakka- is that desi or videsee? Must be desi as the pricing is like desi food. A desi buffet, in general, with less variety costs more than a Chinese buffet. I don't know of a Hakka buffet anywhere. Any suggestions?
I know this is about a Brampton girl, but it is also about culture and food is culture and a more "palatable" topic.
Death and violence is only good in "The War of the Worlds", "Fantastic Four"...
And then even that is questionable.
