Dear CD members,
I am on the student visa in Canada from the private institute and just got married back home and re-entered Canada. My wife is at back-home right now.
Moreover, I am going to put my Immigration file under skilled worker category together with my spouse. I’ll be the first applicant. On the other hand I am in the dilemma where I am not sure what I need to do and what I can do and thus I need suggestions from you all.
My wife is doing Master in Computer Application (MCA) and is at back-home right now to finish 1 more year of her study. Problem is should I bring her here right now by quitting her study or should I let her finish her study there.
My study permit is valid upto August 2006.
She finishes her Master in May 2006, if she stays in India and if she passes both semester thoroughly.
I am going to put my immigration file in next month i.e. July 2005.
What should I do?
1) Should I let her finish her study back-home upto May 2006? If I do that then she have to apply for her visitor visa after August 2006, once I get my new study permit extension, as visa officer will not grant her visa in between May – August 2006 by telling her that we both will not return back-home.
2) Or should I bring her here on visitor visa right now by quitting her study and get an open work-permit from here (which is possible for spouse), do a job by her, if possible, on her Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) and do same upto we both get immigration and then let her study in Canada to finish her master. I can’t make it right now for her because I can’t afford as I need to pay her fees as an international student.
What should I do, please tell me? Your time and consideration is appreciated.
