here in dehli when i see huge crowd, extreme pollution , corruption,
shortage of basic ameneties like water and electricity, tough
competition for kids, i want to run away to canada.
but when i recollect my earlier experience there in canada looking
for jobs all my courage wane out.

You've already had experience! That experience collapses your "courage". So, what are you looking for here? Good experiences to help you keep courage? What even if you do find some? Why do you think someone else's experience will be more realistic than your own?

to make a decesion to move canada is very tough one , particularly at
this age. but some time i think that though i might be late in going
there but it will be right time for my kids to start life there .

If it is your children you have in mind, then move THEM to Canada. With the decent money that you say you are making in India, can't you support them through there education from there.

sometime i think it is a matter of 2-3 years for settling there and
then every thing will be okay.

Are you sure?

when i see positive views on this site i feel its worth to go canada for me
and when i see negetive thoughts i feel depressed.

You sound strange because you speak like those who have yet to come to Canada, yet you have been here yourself, and that too not once but twice. Even then you get encouraged/depressed by reading posts?

i have met 4 indian chartered accountants who came back after trying
there in canada.

What does that imply to you?

As I said, move to Canada, leave your kids here, go back, work harder and support them from there. Once they are done and settled, do whatever with yourself.

Just my suggestions though.

PTM,

I recommend staying put in India.

Regarding your kids future, better option would be to send them for studies to US after their 12th/graduation. That way they would be more mature also to handle the western culture. Ofcourse there is no guarantee now that even in India life is liberal.

With your savings & background, it would not be difficult for you to send your kids to study in US/Canada. Once they are settled, you can always visit them.

Spending 2-3 years of your life at this stage might mean living off your savings.

Stay put in India. At the recent summit of G-8, India was invited which indicates the growing importance of India in the world.

Thanks.

hi rajan,
yeah u r right. things are not so rosy there .i myself experienced that.we can provide money to kids to study and make career wherever they wish.
today i saw a message from sathpaty-shocking state of engineers in toronto. he has mentioned that every year around 10000 engineer lands in toronto. u can add loacally qualfied engineers to that.
what a horrible scenerio.
what future we see for our kids there?

hey guys you all seem to be confused....make up your mind.....everybody here have different opinion...more you read more confused you are....migrating to a well off country doesnt means that you will be offerd job in a plate...in india there is a cut thraot competetion...in schools , universtities etc....all for the degrees which are not recognized in any advance country....and job scenario is not good or all...only for some very skilled persons..who works in multinationals...guys if you all have planned to migrate then be in positive mind..... a real man is the one who extract water from the desert.....:)

PTM: What i see from your posts excluding the fact that your time period ends soon is that you are too eager to hear good on Canada, There are plus and minues all aspects , If you are saving 30k in India staying in metro(Delhi as u said) then i am assuming you are among the middle class people doing good in the country, i never saved such money while in India..
The idea here isnt to discourage you but do evaluate all the pros and cons
going for a new study at 40yrs isnt a daring one especially since you have a family behind you(unless you are sure that your finances can take care of them and wont hurt )
at the end of day ..evaluate everything by jolting the positives and negatives and do a risk assessment
Good luck

hi son-of-india,
yeah . u r right. its endless discussion. the more we dicuss , the more we confused. every body have different views. actually its human nature.when any thing is elusive ,we are so much fascinated towards it and we get that we say ---oh it nothing.
when we are in india: canada attracts so much. one see problems every where , no water , no electricity, so much corruption , so much competition, so much crowd.
and when in canada: no jobs,no one to talk and share bitter canadian experiences, reading keenly indian news( india is shining, india is 4th largest economy of the world, soon india will become atleast 2nd most powerful country........bla.bla..). and we wonder what we r doing here in canada.
what i have observed that it is that segment of immigrants who were not doing good in their native country , are the happiest lot here.
mostly well qualified and earstwhile well settled in thier native country immigrants ( except few lucky one) are finding it difficult to forget their comfortable life and status in their home country.

You hit the nail on the head! I couldn't agree more. However, as with any other, there are exceptions to that theory too, but by and large it is true.
