I applied for immigration from CHC Delhi In May 2001. I got advice for taking medical in October 2004. This i underwent, along with my family in Dubai in November 2004. Since then i have come back to India. I gave my passport in Feb. 2005 for visa stamping. However in May 2005 i got a mail from CHC Delhi saying they did not recieve my medical report and to send my receiprt for the same. I sent them a letter from the doctor along with a photocopy of the courier sent to CHC London ( All medical papers from UAE are handled in CHC London). I sent this info in May 2005 , however since then there has been no communication from CHC Delhi........repeated reminders for confirmation on receipt of medical papers ...... but no reply. Any ideas what can be done next ...... !!!!!!

Write to them and say the delay is unreasonable and hurting your financial prospects in Canada and whether they advise you to retain a lawyer. They'll get back fast.

Thanks for your reply. Now today I went to the embassy and met one of the persons there. I showed then the letter they had sent to me on May 17, 2005 asking me to submit a) PCC from Sierra Leone (where I spent more then 2 years from 2000-2003) and b) Details of my medical tests that I had taken last year (Nov 2004). They confirmed that they received the PCC and it was on my file. Also they told me that they had received my daughter’s medical papers from CHC London but mine & my spouses medical papers had not been received as yet. They said they will try to get it from CHC London today itself and then issue me the visa. In case it was not possible to get in today they would do it the next day. Then they asked me to come in the afternoon to check if the medical papers from CHC London have arrived.
However when I came back in the afternoon, he had a different story to tell. He said even if they get the papers from CHC London they could not issue the visa before next week as some papers were missing. I asked him what was missing. To that he first said that my spouse PCC from Dubai was not sent. I mentioned that I had sent it in February and in any case if it was missing they should have mentioned in the letter dated May 17, 2005. To this, he had no reply & just said that he would call me next week.
Now I am willing to wait till next week. But the question is what legal action I can pursue if they reply in negative next week. This delay has affected my career along with my spouses not to mention the delay in my daughter’s education also.

Wait for a bit. If they continue with this incompetence, let me know.

...... to continue my "story"i was called on 21 July 2005 to the embassy and told that my IRPA was not updated. So i went to the embassy & filled in the details of my residential addresses ( i was informed that only this part needed to be updated). I asked if anything else was required, i was informed that they will let me know. On 18 August 2005 now i have got a letter that i have not updated my IRPA form for work experience...... more delay ...... i have sent it today.

... bunch of incompetents ... never ends.

I still haven't heard anything from CHC as on Sept.20, even after sending the papers on Aug 18. Also my medicals expire in November.What options do i have? Wait...........
