I want to organize a meeting of CD's in the Lakefront Promenade Park(Mississauga) on the 30th July 2005 . I saw a lot of threads about meetings but looks like it's not gettting anywhere. We could have a potluck. Any takers?

Lakefront Promenade is located at 800 Lakefront Promenade off of Lakeshore Road East, east of Cawthra Road.(I've never been there myself though)

I'm interested.
Would you like to coordinate this event with all the respondents?
What exactly do you have in mind (other than the potluck)?

pratickm,
I am willing to take on the responsibility of coordinating with all the respondents as I'm a forced bachelor for now and have time to organize.

I wasn't thinking of any events at the venue though as I'm not sure how the response will be .In the first meeting we can get to know each other and we take it on from there to organize more fun filled ones.

Patrick,

I've can give Uncertain Desi a hand. I'm a forced bachelor too with the family in India for the summer. I do have a few suggestions for activities/games. I'll hook up with UncertainDesi.

Let's keep this open to desi's from all professions not just IT.

We are planning to arrange some activities. This thread will be updated with the list of attendes on a daily basis.

The meeting/Picnic has been called off as there's no favorable response.
Looks like most of the people who send out meeting requests are only interested in dating :( and of course the rest are busy:cheers:

Instead of doing the planning on the board itself, I think a better strategy would be to first call a meeting to discuss the details of the issue. This meeting need not be planned in any manner. Just declare a venue, let everyone know, and anyone interested shoud show up. And people who show up in this meeting can then decide on the rest.

In effect what I am saying is to reverse the order. Have a meeting first followed by detailed planning over the net amongst the people who show up and then the picnic!
