Issue on Post - Graduation Work Permit

Hello Friends,
I have a issue on Post Graduation Work Permit as I had applied for the work permit last month. I already had a employer who hired me and provided with the job acceptance letter. Now, it’s almost a month and I haven’t received any response from CIC regarding work permit. My employer is losing his patience too as I had told him that it wont take that much time in processing. I even called CIC but they didn’t give any info. on status of my application. Even I am losing my temper due to lack of any response. How long do I have to wait I live in Vancouver and the application goes to Alberta it shouldn’t take that much time thou. Can anyone tell me something please also if I switch my job (related to my course of education) then what is the requirement with regard to CIC? The CIC website does not mention anything on this. Lastly, once I receive the work permit can I get 5 points under Adaptability. I would appreciate if someo

you will have to wait more ( around 20-25 days )
check out this web page , It is updated every week and CPC Alberta takes 53 days ( these days )

you can switch your employer but again you'll have to apply and inform them about the change in your emplyment.

AFAIK you have already applied for Immigration, I have no clue in that case ...
BUT if you apply for immigration on the same day of the issue of your work permit ( presumming that you have 1 year work permit ), yes you are elligible for those 5 points under Adaptability.

Thanks for the info. atleast i came to know the timeline. Also, I have already applied for immigration in May 05 and received my file no in 20 days. They asked me to take IELTS which i have already done. But now if i send them a letter claming 5 points under Adaptability then will they consider that or not? (once i receive my work permit). Thanks

THANKS... I RECEIVED MY WORK PERMIT LAST WEEK AND I WANNA APPRECIATE THIS SITE THAT GAVE ME GUIDELINES TO APPLY FOR THE POST GRADUATION WORK PERMIT. NOW I SHIFTED TO NEW EMPLOYER AS MY PREVIOUS WAS A INSURANCE CO. AND IT DIDNT WORK OUT WELL AS I THOUGHT. SO NOW I FOUND A RETAIL ASSISTANT JOB AND THE EMPLOYER IS WILLING TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE ACCEPTANCE LETTER.. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF I WANNA CHANGE THE CONDITION FROM OLD TO NEW EMLPOYER WHAT SPECIFICALLY I NEED TO MENTION INTO THE LETTER FROM EMPLOYER...
