I don't know if anybody's in my situation. I got AOR in March 2002 - CIC New Delhi !!!and in March 2004 moved to US on H1b. I informed CIC of my change in address very recently and my file is updated with the new address which says C/O company name.... USA
I am really curious to know what happens next? Will CIC correspond me on this address? Will I need to go back India to take care of any formalities related to immigration?
Should i get CAips notes? Will it help me?
Do not worry - you will get letter at whatever address you give.
Just be sure address really is valid and mail does not get lost there!
CAIPS notes will relieve your stress.
They will also help you to see whether you have lost any communication, and when to expect letter.
You are likely to get medicals now, which you can get done in US and get mailed to New Delhi.
Similarly passport request.
Actually you maybe able to avoid trip to India.
Then you can land by road/air from US and come back to continue with your work.
Just keep a strict lookout for status change/mail.
High time now.
Best of luck.
thanks a ton...
can someone suggest me a good source, actually a trusted source, to get CAisp notes?
Picaso
R u sure that you don't require a PCC for USA?
Sandi
Hi Sandi,
These are things that I am looking forward to get information....
I am a bit worried that I am in US and might have missed some communication from CIC.
Should I go for CAIPS notes?
Hi Picaso,
If they want new PCC they will ask for it, maybe along with request for medicals/additional papers.
You can check this link for CAIPS. I have not used it so cannot vouch for it. Some senior desi can advise.

i am too march 2002 applicant. Got 7.5 in IELTS. NO communication so far.
Now our 42 months will be over in Sept. I am waiting for that time. Will contact CIC after 42 months.
Anyway I got my HSMP visa & going to uk in first week of Oct.
I will better have both the options of UK & Canada..
