i am surprised and shocked to find lot of negative and discouraging posts on this site. Bluelobster rightly blocked such posts.
i also tried in canada and came back but that does not mean i should spread venom on the site.
canada is not forcing any body to come to canada.its decesion of individual to move there. then its depends on hard work and patience one able to put. also circumstances back home play a big role in continuing struggle there to retreat back.
lot of prospective and settled immigrants see to this site for guiedance.
particularly bluelobster and massood contributing greatly and devoting their valubable time to this site.
i seen lot of successful immigrants in canada ,who made it in 2-3 years. i wonder why they are not contributing to this site.
hope to see more positive and personally experienced thoughts on site.

For the record, I don't block posts because they're negative. If that were the case, about 80% of the posts here would be blocked.
I do block them however when people keep starting new threads over and over again with the same old tired articles.
Btw, thanks for the kind words.

Prime question is who uses Charcha?
Are they the newcomers or would be newcomers who just need a helping hand?
Are they the people who have just made it and are still passionate enough to lend a hand to others?
Are they the passive users, now successful but with less time for social work?
Are they the people who are struggling and need to consult someone in similar position as they are unable to see light at end of tunnel?
Are they the people who have assumed that they have lost the race and want to hit back at the 'unfair' system that has brought such events to pass?
Are they the people who are generally pessimistic by nature or have become so due to overpowering circumstances?
I think there is a mix of these types and others.
It falls upon everyone to see that this forum grows in such a way as that it can enrich every life it touches.
Despite everything Canadian Desi is still one of the best on web.

I know successful people who are just passive users of this site.

As for myself, It's been 4 months now, and I'm quite happy (happier than I was when working in US) working here, in Vancouver!
Desis are very secretive!
They lament about so many things.Yet,they do not even want to identify themselves in anyway in the 'Forum Profile' I do not know what they are scared off..
I even suspect that many members are using different screen names!
But, their writing style shows...So, there is a chance , that the same person is expressing different views under different screen names.
Jughead....
You rightly said. Now that we are PR here, this is like our own place. There is no fear of losing your Status as in H1B , in the US. You can stay here till you can or till you wish to.You can choose to work for any employer too.
