GG, I hope you observed nowadays "General Chat" is swamped by newcomers posts.
Why don't you create a new section just for newcomers? (ex: "Newcomers" or "Moving to Canada soon"....)
OR
You can modify the "Relocation" section to "Newcomers (from US and India)" and move the any US visa related posts from that section to "USA and other countries" section under Immigration.

Agreed, but talking in terms of acquaintace, there is a major difference between a desi landed 2 yrs back and FOB.
I have found that within 1 yr our smart desis figure out everything here.
hence a discussion forum exclusively for desis who have landed for 1yr or less would be a great deal of help in becoming a CANADIAN DESI in no time.
