Here are the requirements:
1) Your Canadian Immigration record/paper (either your Record of Landing (IMM1000) or you Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292)), and both sides of your Permanent Resident Card (PRC) if you have one.
2) Two pieces of ID.
Question on point (1):
So my brother landed at a time when IMM1000 was done away with. He has the PR Card. What is IMM5292? Is it the immigrant visa stamp on his passport?

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Ok, IMM5292 is not an issue as we found copies of it with us after a long search. But they are copies. And there is nothing written on it. Just all the details, but no stamp or signature of the officer .
So, do they write anything on the IMM5292 or stamp it?
Maybe some new immigrant can answer this.
I see the Document number is written on the passport and stamped, but nothing on the IMM5292.

if you have the pr card then dont worry about it.. take the copy with you in case they ask for it and tell them the original was misplaced...

same thing applies... (i should have read the subject better.. sorry)
just attach the copy... main thing they need to figure out is your cic client id... everything in their system is driven off the client id...
