I am keen on investing in india stocks, but have no idea how to do about it. I only know a DEMAT account needs to be opened. Does anyone invest in india stocks and has an idea about how to go about it. Would appreciate any information on this.
Thanks
Hi
Other than having a demat account yourself , you got to have an account with a broking or a trading firm which handles the transfer of funds and shares to and from your account, there are many online trading brokers , I do not know their requirements but you can do it online if you so desire.

Go to SEBI site which gives lots of information on indian shares/portfolio management.

Hope this will be useful.
Is portfolio management services available in Canada? What exactly looking for is:
a) is there any companies doing portfolio management on behalf of their clients? (i.e. buy/sell at their discretion on behalf of clients)
b) what is the minimum investment required?
check ICICIdirect.com
Thanks & regards.
Rajan.
