I am in Surrey, BC.
They call themselves Jewelry Savings Plan.
These people advertise jewellry in various magazines and newspaper.
Recently they advertised a free gift if you become a member. You had to pay only for shipping and handling.
My wife being naive paid $6.00 for s&h to receive this free gift. The free gift was sent ( a cheap ring) to her.
After a couple of weeks she started receiving invoices of $37.85 and in the letter she has been threatened with jeopardy of her credit rating if she does not pay up.
This company has no website, there is no telephone number or fax number on their letters. Just the address:
80 VAN KIRK DRIVE,
BRAMPTON ON L7A 1B1.
The president is named as Doug Patton.
This smacks to me of a scam. Please do let me know if anybody from CD has had an experience with them or has some more knowledge.
Should I pay up or what should I do? They seem to target immigrants.

I found another company at the same address. They may or may not be related but I guess you can phone and ask them if there is genuinely a company that is coercing you to pay more money.

Nimble Transportation Services
80 Van Kirk Drive, Brampton, ON, L7A 1B1 (905) 846-5225

I guess you can google to find some government agency to which you can complain against these type of malpractices (like the link below). You can write letters and dispute with credit agencies if at all the company in question sends information to them.

Thank you
I have just found out that there are number of offices in the same building, sharing the same address.
The most likely place where the money goes could be a fulfillment organisation in this building.
I am going to contact them on Monday.
This fulfillment organisation packages and sends out parcels and collects money from customers. They work for a number of clients.
Therefore if I have something to sell I can recruit them and they package, advertise and sell it on my behalf with a commission.
Anyway, all this reeks of a typical N. American daylight robbery.
SCAM....ROBBERY....CONNING
I advice all to stay away from these type of thugs. They are rampant here.

Hi!

I know, I am writing almost a year later, but I just read this page and I would like to tell my experience. I am a regular \"customer\" of the Jewelry Savings Plan and I love it. I do not know, what You guys want for 40 CAD but these jewelries worth it. I do not say these are real, very expensive things, but they did not even promise that. You can buy these kind of jewelry in the stores for more than their price. I love all of the things, they sent to me.
