hey folks..
I am working with one of the biggest VolksWagen dealers in Toronto. If any of you or your friends or relatives are planning to buy a new/used VW car please contact me. Send me an email or Pm here and i will give you the details. Before buying any new/used car please consider that VW is the only company to offer Diesel engines in cars and thats a big boon in today's ever increasing gas prices. Most of the diesel Jetta's and Golf's are now in huge demand.
Do give me a shout folks. I will be glad to help any of you out with a good deal.

I would like to know couple of points because I plan to buy a used car in near future. My choice are Toyota / Nissan / Mazda / VW / Chevrolet (not in the sequence I wrote)
-What is the price range for a diesel & petrol for model 2000 - 2002
-What is the size of engine 2 lts or smaller or bigger
-How about repairing facility commonly available for diesel engines
-Diesel engines in VW are black start or require initial heating
-Insurance for G2 with clean driving experience 2 years...I can get a G too.
-Diesel model, what are the frequency of oil and filter changes
-Diesel consumption and oil & filter change cost

We have heard that the new Volks JETTA is superb . It has a turbo Diesel TDI engine and gives about 45-50 mpg (hwy )as opposed to many japanesecars which give around 30-33 mpg ( hwy ) .

Can you answer the following

1. What is the base price and the actual price after all taxes.

2. How is the latest JETTA in your opinion ( looks cool like an Audi )

3. What is the Estimated mpg ( both Hwy and City)

4. What are the major maintenance expenses incurred on a VW.

5. Are the spares very expensive

6. Availability of Diesel fuel in and around City...

hi goldeneye...
Thanx for contacting me with your query on VW Jetta TDi. To answer some of your questions:

2. The new Jetta is a hugely improved model over the one it replaces. Notable features are Turbo diesel engine with Pumpe Duse technology. The Transmission is 6 speed Automatic Tiptronic with DSG as standard, and electro-mechanical Power steering, 4 airbags are standard, car recieved top stars in safety from insurane institute. It's most safe car in it's segment. More space for people inside and more cargo room in trunk. I would urge you to come and take a look at the car. As they say, you know nothing about a VW until you see it and drive it! Trust me you will be floored with the amazing technology in the car.

3. Fuel consumption as per EPA is 6L/100kms city and 4L/100kms highway! You can easily do 1,000kms on a full tank of diesel!.

4. German engineering ensures you have nothing to worry about major expenses. 4 years/80,000kms bumper to bumper warranty, powertrain warranty is 5years/100,000kms, 24 hours Roadside assistance for 4 years/80,000kms and corrosion warrany for 12 years unlimited kilometers!.

5. Spares are priced on par with competition. Jetta is bread and butter model for VW in Canada. We can't price the spares too high.

6. Diesel is avaliable easily around Toronto. Go to any gas station on a major intersection and diesel is avaliable.

P.S. Price of the car and same details have also been sent to you by email/PM.

Guys you can call me at Cedarbrae Volkswagen at 416-438-1900 and ask for Amit. I work everyday except Fridays and sundays.
