Hello,
Currently I am studying from the private college and have applied for my immigration from Buffalo. Moreover, last year my wife tried to come on the visitor visa to Canada but it was rejected.
As my immigration application is in process as of now, I am going to apply for study permit extension once again soon. What I want to know is what things should I consider and take care for my new extension. What should I write in the application where they ask, why you want extension? Should I write too that as my immigration application is in process I would like to have extension and should I state that if it's rejected then I'll go back-home.
What should I write in my cover letter too? Please help. Thanx
Hi,
The visa guys expect that you want to extend your study permit because you haven't completed the studies yet; that is precisely what you should state as a reason. Just give them little details on what is the progress of your studies and how much longer it will take for you to finish.
Study permit extensions are fairly easy to get and even if there is a problem with your application they will not cancel it right away, they will first notify you for more information. But as long as you are registered with the college and you have a letter proving the same along with sufficient finances, you should be fine!
Cheers

Hi khubuseth,
I am not going to apply for study permit saying I haven't completed my studies yet. I am going to enrolled in new program and then I'll apply for it. And I don't think so they will notify anything, they may reject you at first place. Isn't it?
Thanx
Oh!!!
In that case, if I was you, I would apply and keep my fingers crossed!
The best reference I can give you is that of one friend I have, he finished his Master's and applied for an extension for doing PhD. He got it easily, so I guess if you can prove that the next program that you will be registering in is a logical extension of what you already did, then you should not have a problem.
