Indian employess lack proper training

As I have been observing (what else I can do), Indian employees lack proper training. Whether it is a bank, retail outlet, police, govt staff, hitech, etc., they lack proper training. What they learn in college/univ is not enough in the real world. Biggest is the lack of soft skills. Common sense and courtesy need to be improved. And the BS they talk must be reduced.

Interesting point you have raised DIO, my guess is you are in India or atleast working presently in India.
So when these same people come to Canada and this lack of "proper training"is mentioned (as canadian experience) , do you think there is some justification in that?
You have been here & in India recently so i guess you can make some comments on this.

Isn't it more of a people thing than anything to do with being Indian or so... I have had non-courteous and even border line abusive behavior from many. Also had many going out of the way kind to help as well. The race – or even gender – never seemed to be a good factor.

Funniest thing which comes to my mind is when I tried to use a grocery cash check (one I got from Rogers for last Halloween…) in a super center and the white lady there tried to teach me (in a rather rude way) what grocery is! Well, what I was buying that day was Enfamil, which I would say falls under grocery – since it is baby food. She might have been right or wrong, but the way she behaved was very rude. May be she just had a bad day!

Anyways, I don’t think being rude or courteous has anything to do with being Indian or not! Only thing I have felt about Indians who are working in Bank, retail stores etc. is, they in general stick to rules by the book and it is tough to get some fee’s etc. waived, where as I have had more success with others in getting ‘good will’ discounts and fee waivers. Then again, I think it is a good quality of Indians.
