Hi All

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a hair straightener or flat iron in Delhi? im planning to go to India in a few weeks but dont know if I can take my appliance and use a converter because I have heard that the voltage difference fries these.

Any other suggestions? Thanks !!

It's commony available conair, braun etc... many sites which send gifts to India also carry them...

Karol Bagh Gaffar market is full of them; all malls (India bulls, Vishal mart) have it in their electronic section. There is one mall called Apna Bazaar at few metro stations (I've been to the Pitampura one) it is kind of Wal-Mart of India, check in there electronic section too.

The best option would be to purchase it in India. I had purchased one from ebay.co.in last year for Rs. 99!! (yeah, that's right!). It did an awesome job and it seemed much better than the fancy models which my cousin had bought for Rs. 2000 plus.

I'm sure they are still available on ebay.co.in (but may not be for Rs.99). I guess the average price is between Rs.200 to Rs. 400. They usually deliver it in 4 to 5 days.
