I am looking for the recipe of "Misal" - a Maharashtrian dish. I used to enjoy it in Vadodara in a restaurant in Dandia bazaar. It is made from "math" - a lentil - and is topped with yogurt and onions.
I searched on the net, but could not find any good leads. One recipe talks about "Maharashtrian" masala, which has all kind of exotic ingredients.
Can any Marathi bhai/bahen's help?

The one that Meghal is referring to is called "Poona Misal". Not sure why. But is distinctively different than the one available in Bombay with Pav. In Bombay something close to that is the Dahi Misal.
