Focus back on expat pilots

Grim rescue at Mangalore crash site

It's tragic. Very sad indeed. I just caught the news this morning after waking up.
In regards to the article on expat pilots and their accents and knowledge of topography, how do thousands of international flights make it safely with various accents, topography, etc across the world?
For example, JFK handles pilots from so many nationalities. I have read aviation forums about conversations between pilots and towers and how challenging that can be. Yet, flights come in and go safely. For topography challenge, take a look at Princess Juliana International airport or the now defunct Kai Tak airport. Both these handles/handled thousands of international flights safely.
It's an excuse for the pilots association/union to vent anger at foreigners taking away their joibs. Sounds familiar, eh?
Finally, the comments following that article shows some sense.

My deepest condolences to the families who are suffering from this massive loss.
It appears, it is the not so experienced Indian pilot who executed this inaccurate landing and the experienced UK pilot tried to take off to escape the disaster but couldn't.
This is no different from letting the family offsprings drive the car (as they have to one day), ending up with tragedy. Really unavoidable, as one or other day, the juveniles need to take the spot as did the rookie here.
This accident holds the same theory that points to the human error / involvement for most of the aviation related disasters.
Let us Pray for the souls to rest in peace.

More info.
Per tv channels, the pilot was a Serbian born British. Accent could be a factor? Not sure. Many foreign airlines operate in major cities that are guided by foreign pilots. KLM, AF, Luf., BA, etc. The air traffic controllers are Indians. How come there is no accent issue and no mishaps? IMO, may be a ploy by the pilots union to discourage expat pilots working. The probe may blame the pilot since he is dead.
Its the lack of well trained desi pilots. There are no. of private flying schools who teach crash course in piloting / flying. Those candidates may crash real planes. Since the airline industry is booming fast, they need trained pilots to fly the planes. Expat pilots are paid very good money.
