With due respect to the great India's extraordinary conglomerate, I don't like them to be as the largest international donor for HBD, as there are millions in their home country can't afford education.
Ever read "Dark Ages America: The Final Phase of Empire". A friend of mine recommended about 4-5 years back itself. Perhaps, it is turning into reality.
I did not read this book, if any one pls share your opinion.

Both together will cause the downfall of US Empire in this century.
There's transfer of wealth from west to east already happening. With wealth comes power, they already have the largest (& youngest) middle class population in the world. Compare this to middle class in the western world, where serious planning of retirement/pensions/healthcare will be the biggest burden.

I don't think that it has anything to do with transfer of wealth. Tatas are operating businesses in US so they might want to save on taxes or... may be as a part of promotional activities they would have taken this step.
But still It is shameful for Americans to accept such a huge amount from overseas(especially Indian) donor.
Obama graduated in Law from Harvard. May be Tata is trying to please him so that he allows him to conduct business in USA. Obama is a socialist who believes in protectionism policies with regard to trade. Tata has lots of business from USA for his company TCS.
