well i moved in mid oct /10 , doing nothing as yet , just getting used to India, and yes for foreign nationals the tax slab is higher. it is a challenge and a testing time. Just one advice pls dont watch the Indian news channels , they will depress you. any other oci planning something, leave me a message.

I have applied for OCI and hopefully should be able to get it by Jan or Feb, 2011. How much tax do we need to pay in India? Is it more than Canada?
By the way, how long it took you to get OCI from Canada?

As a whole (Not just comparing the taxes), your expenses in India will be less as compared to Canada.
Do you mean to say there is different tax slab in India for OCI holder?
