can somebody guide me,I am now Canadian Citizen, having DMAT acct n HDFC bank in Chandigarh. I hv shares of few companies, bank has suspended any transicton as I don't have PAN Card. When I was in Indiia 10yrs back though I was working & paying income tax but Pan Card was not mandatory. Now I want to sell shares but don't know how to do it.I am also not going to India, though bank people send me online statements & dividents are depositing because blue chip companies but now I want to sell these shares. If kindly anybody can advise & help me. Thanks!!

I checked the link but as I don't hv a pan card & new I can't make as don't hv Indian address or Id. I hv Canadian Passport, if u know any other way pl help!!

Read link carefully. You do not need a Indian Address. You can make PAN card sitting in GTA. Lot of people are doing that.
