Pranab Mukerjee has resigned as Finance Minister and everything fine will be our next President. The NDA because of their divisions could not put up a common candiate.
For Pranabda it will be the prize he gets for his "consistent" stand on black money and wealth criminally stashed abroad. Pranabda's White "Peppaar" on black money literally choked Truth and caused its death, inspite of best efforts of people like Ramdev, Anna Hazare, Prof Vaidyanathan, Gurumurthy etc., to revive it.
Now the Congressmen and their patrons i.e., the black money bags can peacefully go to sleep, that there is someone at the top to take care and protect them..

He was a minister of state during emergency. Supported Indira Gandhi to the core during 1975-77. Long back in late 80s, he mentioned in an interview that he used "trial and error method" when he was the finance minister. Yeah right, he tried and erred at the cost of the country. Thanks to PVN and others, things took off for the good, without Pranabda.
From one Cong puppet to another..really there is no progress. The non-cong parties who vote for him will repent after the next elections. Ofcourse, every one is fulfilling their personal ambitions - nothing for the country here.

While discussing Pranabda's candidacy, we forgot to mention about his "achievements" as Finance Minister in re-earthing all facts regarding the 2G scam.
Though a note appeared from his Ministry to the PMO regarding the scam, it was later attributed to some junior officer, i.e., after Pranabda was called to Sonia Gandhi's residence for "discussions" along with Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal and Salman Kurshid.
That after the meeting, the video of the diminutive Pranabda walking sheepishly with the mentioned trio towering behind him in their "white" Congress uniform said it all.
No wonder the DMK chief Karunandhi with necessity to protect his own Raja and Rajakumari in the 2G was falling head over heels in his support for Pranab's presidency, overlooking the son of the soil and Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam.
These days "this-nation-wants-an answer" Arnab Goswami also has gone silent on the scam, choosing mundane issues like traffic violations in a small town of the North East or some hostel warden excess in some nondescript university over real national issues.
Can our nation go down this far or any further?

Now, about the Jhangipur Lok Sabha seat vacated by Pranab, when he took over as President. His son Abhijit Mukerjee will be contesting for MP. The Hindu in its editorial has aptly called this "Descent of the Republic"
