In a Times Now, Arnab Goswami programme literally a life and death matter for 5 Indian fishermen given death sentence by hanging by Sri Lanka, we have Dr.Swamy stooping to the lowest level possible.
For the people who are asking why he was not made Finance Minister, Swamy has proved himself that he is unfit even for the post of municipal councillor.
For a 20 minute programme, we have Swamy calling the anchor a "liar" more than 30 times. The only casualty finally was the cause of the fishermen who are now in death row.

The saving grace was that of Sumanth C. Raman, a medical doctor who conducts sports quiz programmes in DD and AIR for more than 2 decades and now a political commentator. He managed to say a few words about SL not carrying out any hanging since 1976. It will be better if Dr.Raman is more utilised by ENM for his excellent English and speedy conveying of his opinion.

I heard that with Modi's intervention, they have decided to let the fishermen spend their jail time in India.

We do not know the merits or demerits of this particular case. The fishermen might have been deliberately framed by the Sri Lankan Navy themselves. But generally, India seems to be becoming a haven for all types of offenders, from the ordinary thieves snatching chains to those indulging in corruption taking 100s of crores as bribe. As far as the common man is concerned, the lawyers and the courts appear to be working for the offenders only and not protect the innocent. Nobody ever gets punished with the result that common man always have to live under fear whether he is dealing with a criminal element in his day to day life.

SS raised a point in another show that boat owners (affiliated to major TN political parties) who are pushing Indian fisherman into Lankan waters because there are no fishes left on Indian side where these mechanized boats can operate. Once you land in Lankan waters, all these problems will arise. All this got muffled in the 'dramebazi' on Arnab's show where Arnab's allegations are ludicrous.

Very true. After the war was over all people, both Tamils and Sinhalese in Sri Lanka want to lead a peaceful life. They have lost nearly 40 years to the war.
As Sri Lankan economy picks up from shambles, there are a lot of business opportunities for the people of India especially southern Tamil Nadu. But some fringe elements in Tamil Nadu masquerading as mass leaders would not let the issue to die down. The people of Tamil Nadu are not at all interested in their politics as we are hands full with our own problems and have not returned even their deposit when these fringe leaders contest elections. But they are able to successfully disrupt any good relationship between the two countries, with the result that Sri Lanka is gradually turning towards China and Pakistan for their developmental activities.
