Were you able to get the affidavit in lieu of the Indian marriage certificate? If so, what did it say on the affidavit.

I called BLS as my wife has to convert her PIO to OCI. Our marriage certificate is from India and BLS is saying that I have to get an affidavit with a joint photograph. They won't provide any details as to what should be on the affidavit.

Can you advise where you got the affidavit from and if it was accepted by BLS? I believe you are in Mississauga, so kindly let me know where I can get this done.

Just did OCI renewal for my son (last month)

timeline - almost two months in process

yes - it is under Miscellaneous services but you have to provide all the documents like you are applying for new OCI application.

renew OCI it is just like nightmare with BLS and CGI.. they rejected my first application because I did not mentioned in application that my son (13yrs) is unmarried.
