Hot off the press. (To me)
This Mobile system just got started. It may not be for everyone. But worth looking into or adding onto your current phone, if it is a SMART Phone. Please Test it out before you are able to wean off the current provider.

This looks nice...do you know which carrier are they using?
With the advent of the 3G and 4G communications and Data systems entering the picture, some of the remote communities banded together and opened up their own communication systems for that location, where they are using the system. Then entered the SMART Phones and other data uses and with the APPs getting generated for all kind of usages and having one for their usage, they entered the markets, initially at their location and now have spread their wings outward to expand to all of Canada.
There is a reciprocal agreement through CRTC and also with the data usage over the Satellite for its integration of services, which permits them to extend such services to other users, but for a fee, which currently happens to be about $19.99 or there about. And the same service is available for $5.00US., across the border. Now the Data fees will slowly get jacked up to cover the loss of Mobile services. (There will come a time we each can own our own Satellite)
This is for your information.
