CANADA'S GOAL OF ONE MILLION P.R. REQUIREMENT TURNS THE HEADS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Recent reports by the BBC, CNN and other News services have highlighted how the three-year target is setting Canada apart AS THE TOP MOST NATION CALLING IN FOR EDUCATED AND QUALIFIED IMMIGRANTS, on the global stage. As CNN reported, “Canada’s friendly stance towards new residents comes as many other Western nations, including the United States, are adopting more restrictive immigration policies.”
A New York Times opinion piece took it further, arguing the U.S. should be following Canada’s example and increasing immigration for the sake of its “economic health.”
This rationale lies at the heart of Canada’s drive to raise its immigration levels. In his department’s annual report to Parliament last fall, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Ahmed Hussen, said, “growing immigration levels, particularly in the Economic Class, will help us sustain our labour force, support economic growth and spur innovation.”
Under Canada’s latest three-year immigration levels plan, total immigration is expected to reach 350,000 new permanent residents in the year 2021. This represents an immigration level of nearly one per cent of Canada’s population, which the Conference Board of Canada says must be reached by 2030 to ensure modest population and economic growth.

NOW FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF CANADA'S PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS PROGRAM, THAT OPENS UP IN A FEW DAYS..:
Canada’s Parents and Grandparents sponsorship program closed to expressions of interest from eligible Canadian citizens and permanent residents after opening briefly on January 28.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said it would accept 27,000 Interest to Sponsor forms on a first-in, first-served basis this year as a first step in the annual application cycle for its Parents and Grandparents Program, known as the PGP.
The form was available for mere minutes before IRCC announced that it had received enough submissions and ended the intake.
IRCC tweeted that those who successfully submitted the Interest to Sponsor form should receive an email within 24 hours confirming receipt.
The PGP allows eligible Canadian citizens and permanent residents over the age of 18 to sponsor their parents and grandparents for immigration to Canada.
Submitting the Interest to Sponsor form and the required proof of status in Canada document is not an application but it is the mandatory starting point for those who want to participate in the PGP.
Following the removal of duplicate submissions, invitations to apply to the PGP will be issued in the order the Interest to Sponsor forms are received until IRCC reaches its 2019 target of 20,000 complete applications.
Prior to this morning’s opening, IRCC had announced that at least one round of invitations will be held, with the possibility of others, until its target of 20,000 complete applications is met.

THE BEST FEATURE OF THIS PROGRAM IS//: WHEN ALL THE ITA'S ARE ISSUED AND GET PROCESSED AND THEY FIND THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF DROP-OUTS OR NO-SHOWS, THEY ANNOUNCE A SECOND ROUND OF INVITATIONS TO THOSE WHO ARE IN THE QUEUE AT A LATER DATE AND FILL IN THE ALLOWABLE MAXIMUM FOR THAT YEAR. SO DO NOT DESPAIR.
GOOD LUCK GUYS.

CANADA IS WELL ON ITS WAY OF ENROLLING 1,000,000 IMMIGRANTS INTO CANADA WITH ITS 40,000 ITA's THIS MONTH.
If the first month of 2019 was any indication, Canada should have no trouble achieving its goal of welcoming one million immigrants by the end of 2021.
January saw the Government of Canada and provinces across the country open the door to more than 40,000 potential applicants through key economic immigration and family sponsorship programs.
Both economic immigration and family sponsorship are central components for Canada’s new three-year immigration levels plan, which has a target of 331,000 new permanent residents for 2019.
This number is set to rise to 341,000 in 2020 and reach 350,000 by 2021 — nearly one per cent of Canada’s population. A one per cent immigration rate is considered vital for ensuring the continued growth of Canada’s labour force and economy in the years ahead.
