Now shop designer products for a cause

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) In its third year, Design One, a two-day exhibition dedicated to luxury and glamour, will have some leading designers exhibiting their collections, and proceeds from the sale of some products will go to charities.

Organised by Sahachari Foundation, the event will start Feb 27 at The Lodhi (formerly The Aman) here.

"Sahachari Foundation supports deserving NGOs in the areas of education, healthcare, social-economic upliftment and promotion of the arts, by raising funds through a calendar of events," said Amruda Nair of Sahachari Foundation.

"While building on the strength of a substantial list of coveted designers, Design One has an altruistic aim that differentiates it from other exhibitions. It is an earnest effort to raise funds for deserving NGOs and provide those less fortunate with an opportunity to integrate into mainstream society," Nair added.

A few participating designers include Atsu Sekhose, Abha Dalmia, Tikaaya, Masaba Gupta, Kothari Jewellers, Nikasha Tawadey, Nidhi Tolia, Jayanti Reddy, Puneet Jasuja and La Mill.

Among the charities, who will benefit this year by the event are Cequin, Shine, Sakha Cabs for women and Cancer Initiative-Tata Memorial Hospital.
