Islamabad, Feb 16 (IANS) At least four people were killed and 15 others injured in a blast in Pakistan's Quetta city Saturday, reported Xinhua citing local media. The bomb went off at about 5.40 p.m. (local time) at Karani road area of the capital of Balochistan province, Xinhua cited Urdu TV channel Dunya as saying. The nature and target of the blast was not immediately known as police and paramilitary troops cordoned off the area following the incident, keeping media and residents away from the targeted area. Some eyewitnesses coming from the site told media that the blast destroyed several shops, houses and vehicles. Smoke clouds were seen rising from the site following the blast. The injured people were shifted to Bolan Med Complex of Quetta amid high security. Hospital sources said the death toll may rise further as several people among the injured were in critical condition. No group had yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
