Elections to the Nagaland state assembly are slated for Feb 23. Some facts at a glance:

Number of seats: 60

State's population: 19,80,602 (2011 census)

Total number of voters: 11,93,438

Male voters: 6,03,933

Female voters: 5,89,505

Number of candidates: 188 (Two women)

Constituencies with maximum candidates: Sanis and Bhandari (six each)

Main parties and their candidates: Bharatiya Janata Party (11), Congress (57), Nationalist Congress Party (15), Naga People's Front (60), Janata Dal-United (three), Rashtriya Janata Dal (two) and Independents (39).

Electronic Voting Machines: 2,600

Number of polling stations: 2,023

Voter turnout in 2008 polls: 85 percent

Party positions in 2008: NPF-26, Congress-23, Independents-7, BJP-2 and NCP-2
