"Comedy films have found a wide audience in the south with many recent successes and we are hopeful to create another good film in this genre. We are working towards an eclectic slate for this year and this project is yet another step in that direction," Dhananjayan added.

Directed by Sundar C, the film features Siddharth, Hansika Motwani, Santhanam in the lead. Ganesh Venkataraman will also be seen in an important role.

The other members of the cast include Jennifer, Vidyu Mohan Ram, Devadarshini, Chitra Lakshmanan, Delhi Ganesh, Boskky, George and Vichu.

The film will be shot at Kumbakonam, Hyderabad and Chennai. Two songs are likely to be shot in Japan. While Sathya has been roped in to compose the music, Gopi Amarnath will handle the camera.

"Settai" will be UTV's first release in Tamil in April, followed by "Theeyaa Vela Seiyyanum Kumaru" in June and then Vikram Prabhu-starrer "Sigaram Thodu" in December later this year.
