New Delhi, Feb 21 (IANS) Delhi's sixth economic census began Thursday with enumerators visiting the official residence of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for collecting information about her household. Launching the census, Dikshit urged Delhiites to cooperate in furnishing accurate and complete details to make big it a success. The Economic Census is complete enumeration of all establishments and units performing economic activities within the geographical boundaries of Delhi. Around 12,000 enumerators and supervisors will carry out the census in about 33,200 enumeration blocks spread in the 11 revenue districts of Delhi during February-March, a Delhi government official said. The field survey is expected to cover around 45 lakh census households. The earlier five economic censuses were conducted in 1977, 1980, 1990, 1998 and 2005.
