The regular Indian ordinary resident account with Indian bank won't work and is illegal to have that. You will be forced to convert that into a NRO account.    Where to settle?: ...Look for a place essentially near a subway ,(exclude a place near ttc bus too) that shall assist you beyond your imagination to commute easily in and around GTA region, place near a subway is helping you commute without any hitch. You shall always thank your self of this decision later. Indian grocery stores are also spread everywhere where Indian population is living .

Once you take up Canadian citizenship, you automatically give up Indian citizenship. Why do you want to enter India illegally? It is unlikely you will be able to board the plane from Canada without a PR card if you show Indian passport.

In our case atleast, the driver was not aware of any specific places for food/break which are open 24 hours on the way so had to take exit couple of times before finally finding something :)..

   ...Visited a Gujarati joint today @ West Drive , Brampton - Taste of Gujarat .. We did not like the food - it was too spicy and hot .... we filled out stomachs as we were hungry but did not relish the experience .. Would not go back . This was in contrast to the memorable Gujarati joints we used to frequent when in the Middle East .

Just as an FYI, if you're looking to attend Centennial or Seneca, then you'll spend almost 2 hrs to/fro each day if you live in Mississauga/Brampton, even if you drive. As a suggestion - once you narrow down on your college, then look for a place around there. You'll find desi's and desi groceries almost in every corner of Toronto.

They came on time as promised, moved all our furniture carefully with no damage, no waste of time and did all this with a smile too. Cost of living is very cheap yet it is much bigger than KW area. It depends on your lifestyle but I would get bored in London.
