   ...I had got grade 8,9,10,11,12 books from Tamilnadu high school text books from Chennai. I had them sent by sea mail and it took nearly 6 to 7 months to receive in mississauga and it costed nearly 500 bucks. I strongly suggest that you should get it by somebody who comes here and pay him cash here. This way he earns for his effort and you get it on hand immediately. It would have costed nearly 10 times to get the same by courier. My experience.

   ...Why do everyone keep on "renewing their passports", when its clearly a "NEW PASSPORT". THERE IS NO RENEWAL FOR AN EXPIRED/END OF LIFE INDIAN PASSPORT.... You get a brand new passport with a new number. Try to get ur old passport back and keep it with you for a few travels. I luckily had my old passport, and the indian immigration wanted to see it upon my return from India.

   driving license: ...r my indian licence.I gave the original and he asked for the verification by embassy.I had my DL photo copied and got it attested by the Indiam Embassy at Riyadh.The guy said it is not enough.Only the stamp and signature of the consular is just not enough.He says it should be written that holder of passport # so and so his driving licence # is .... etc and then say it is verified.I argued with him how an embassy will stamp and sign without seeing and verifying the original.He said sorry, and said go to Indian embassy in toronto and do it.It is a clear case that this guy wants it to be done in toronto indian embassy.
