...Well you have been taking it from very funny aspect of desi's. Even after 20 years, I still seem to indulge south indian style with addition to punjabi style food. So do the cacausian colleagues I know from long term sticking to their foodstyle. I still seem to eat sushi and typical steak, pasta often from business relationship and ofcourse kids but not able to say I really enjoy the most. Not very dissatisfied but can't frequent as much my homestyle food. No non desi friends even after 20 years, ev...

Rasoi & Restaurants: Is SATTOO sold anywhere in the GTA area?

...xcept north east) i only found it in Bihar and part of UP adjoining bihar. It amazes me how different cultures in different states in india are all linked by common traditions and even food . Some more factoids on Sattoo - It probably is one of the oldest "original" indian food forms, and finds references in history books as well. -highly versatile, can be used from Sattoo ka paratha to sattoo ka laddoo to sattoo drink. And comes in variety of cereal grains. -But despite its goodness it remains a poors mans food enjoyed mostly in rural areas. Guess someone somewhere with entrepreneurial ( spell check!!) spirit can bring it to the mainstream and make it a hit. W...

General: How do I setup a food stall at at a street fair?
Started by: musicgold on 11 Jun 2017
...Not worth it. Lot of fees, food inspection , by laws, permits, rules and regulations and other nonsense in this Nanny state called Ontario, to set up a food stall at any venue. After all the cost, hassle, stress - both physical and mental, you will barely break even. You will regret it . You will make more and easier to set food stalls in India, than over here. The people who come to your stall over here are also very cheap Canadian people.

You can take greyhound/viarail from Brampton (not mississauga) to Guelph Go is another option. Once you get to downtown guelph the local transit is excellent so it can get you to wherever you want in the city in 15-20 mins max
