Real Estate & Mortgages: Brampton Real Estate - Why is it cheaper ? (Comparitevely)
 Started by: kabutar12 on 27 Jan 2009
My comments: ...pton according to TK is because of Punjabis who work for low wages? .
B'lorean, My comment was based on the OP's question as to why Brampton's RE prices are low and my answer was based on the facts of Brampton that it was purely residential and that we had a number of hard working low wage people which made the property prices to be down. Obviously it does have pockets of welathy and professional desi's but as it is mentioned by the OP, there are some inherent problems with having these kind of people. To the OP : you are in a good professional job and working in Scarborough. Why do you want to buy a house in brampton and commute to Scarborough for the rest of your sta...

Life: what is the different between canadian education and indian education
 Started by: jcp_toronto on 19 Nov 2009
Indian education system (science/maths/Engineering) is too theoretical while Canadian education system gives importance to the practical stuff. Also, Canadian education system encourages self-study (i.e. being more independent) while giving you a lot of facilities (like excellent labs, books, latest softwares, etc). Whereas Indian education system relies more on student-teacher relationship ( following the professors). My opinion: We should not compare (or generalize) with IIT/JEE, because the excellent institution like like IIT is unique in India - IIts are far ahead and better than most of the other institutions in India. Visiting, Traveling and Picnicing: Suggestions for a Trip for 4-5days in US/Canada
 Started by: dkp9a on 14 Apr 2006
...Do u want it only around Toronto??? If not try flying to Calgary and going of the Banff, Lake louise etc. Otherwise come to Vancouver. Lot's of places to go to. Specially summer's around the corner, which other place can be better than Vancouver for a tourist. Here u can get anything made veggie (except in fast food places). They'll be happy to substitute meat with soy products. White Spot, Milestones, Red Robin, thai house and many more. For vegetarians Vancouver is heaven in the N. American world.
