Its a good clean apartment considering the other buildings in this area (especially near the DIXON-KIPPLING). At Xmas time, they have very good (well priced) gifts and chocolates .. plus they have tons of free samples of food !! You cannot do much about the lines..except shop at non peak hours. I also find Costco to make a very good pizza.

Another option is to go to the Citizenship office early explain the situation and let them have your ooth early. I have seen myself that one one girl had her exams as well as citizenship oath at the same time. She requested the judge and she was allowed to take oath on the spot. To do this however you might have to struggle a lot. If you get only the front window people they will not listen to you. Try getting a letter from MPs etc. to support your case. ...

We wanted to do a lot more, but time was short, but hey, it gives us a reason to visit the place again. :D As regards desi food, in the 5 days, we didn't find any desi restaurants, neither did we go especially looking for one. For breakfast and dinner we cooked at the cottage (ready to eat packs). For lunch we carried food from home and eat outside. As an FYI we're veggies so trying to eat outside was not the best where choices were very limited. We didn't carry fresh fruits and veggies from Canada for fear of being stopped at the border. On the way we stopped at a Walm...

This will also help them to kill time and also appreciate time management. They could go with the infant to a drop in centre and spend more time with their grandchild.    ...My dear frnd ASH20, it is but natural that I would have applied to firms dealing in my field but I don't know what is the secret factor at work, that even after I get interviewed & the interviewer finds my resume quite impressive they do not contact me after that. I don't know whether it's because I don't have any "Canadian Experience", or maybe because I don't have a car at present which is a mandatory requirement...

   ...Thanks for the replies BL and xyza. I think I'll pass on the subsidized housing though....I'm married and I really don't want to put my wife through that. I'm going to try and find something on a TTC route for a couple of months (3 max) and then move someplace within a budget of 1200 all inclusive. Mississauga has some good options but by the time I factor in the commute costs I may as well be spending the GO transit (on top of TTC passes) I may as well be living closer downtown. the init
