The only person we got was a Sri Lankan lady but she had to be dropped and picked up daily from scarborough (1.5 hr. drive from my home) and hence i refused. My son was born there. We liked it there but for the cold, so that one is ruled out. Right now we are thinking either Calgary or Mississauga, because we want to be around Indian community. As far as I've seen I feel that the rent is higher in Calgary than Mississauga. But in another post most of the members have replied that Alberta is better than Ontario. If you need a couple hundred Rs. immediately after landing in India, it is easy to convert CAD or USD at the Indian airports. And now that CAD > USD, it makes sense to take $100 USD from here and convert to Rs. 4,000+ at the Indian airport. That should easily take care of immediate needs like food, taxi, etc. ...

My experience was similar to many here. The food was bland and portion size was small. Finally I think the set up at the Scarb location is completely wrong. Where to settle: Brampton vs Mississauga

   ...I find Mississauga to be a matured saturated suburb . Brampton is still developing ......... wider roads, less high rises , less congestion .... but Mississauga is obviously better connected .

   ...My cousin has just graduated from UofT-M (Mississauga) Life Sciences. He is onto his Med School next month. I heard only the good things about Mississauga campus. However, do your research.
