Here in Canada when I was working at least on few occasions I got looks during lunch time when I used to bring food and eat it in office. Weird thing the food was not even indian. It was chinese spicy peanut sauce on rice. But it did let of a good deal of aroma (for the person who was eating) and stink(for who were not). The requirement for dress codes change with how the industry is doing. At its peak you could walkin to an interview in Jeans and t shirt and you would still be hired and now you could do all you want an...

Any immigrant (say a couple who are ready to work but only one got a job) is still eligible for food bank. Know that many food banks stuff goes to the waste as there are no much takers. Food banks set a limit on distributing based on the population that came the previous week. Many come in cars to pick up food. So let the OP feel free or be ashame...

So reading ur natural reaction took me back in time as i had very similar feelings........ As far as indian food is considered , there is one pakistani restaurant called mehraan . Its north of church st near church and gerrard street. I dont know how far its from ur residence but its about 5 dollars per head and the food is ok. Another thing u may want to do is write the driving test exam as u have some spare time now. Dont buy the book as u can borrow it from any desi bhai/bahan living/working near ur residence. Again
