Ask Immigration Expert: Sponsering Family - Paternity benifit
Started by: callingcard on 14 Oct 2009
...Thanks Freakoutguy and G13 for recommendation. To answer the initial question, income received as EI on paternity leave is allowable as an eligible income to meet the minimum income requirement. However, as per the eligibility criteria, the sponsor and the co-signor must maintain the minimum income as specified by LICO throughout the entire processing period. Please feel free to contact me for any other query you might have on this issue. Best wishes Praveen Kalra Settlement Worker Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre 315-1420 Burnha

Real Estate & Mortgages: High-rise condo in downtown vs Condo Townhouse in Mississauga
Started by: rajog on 09 Jun 2006
Thank you: ...Thank you Rajeev and Aly for your replies Personally, as a lifestyle choice, I would prefer a house over a highrise condo anytime but considering my budget and the convenience factor I was thinking of a condo apt in downtown. I was looking at Markham, Square one in Mississauga or any other location which has a fair mix of desis and goras :) As regards fixing of roofs and ...

General: How is DTDC to send a package?
Started by: KumarM on 08 Nov 2011
...DTDC's reviews have been positive on CD. I have not used them but have used First Flight http://www.firstflight.net/contactus.asp Letter reaches India within a week or a bit more depending on location. All letters reach Delhi and then gets distributed. They also give discounted rates for Fedex and DHL if you want. DHL reaches at least one day earlier as compared to sending by First Flight and has better tracking information on their website. If your friend can drop off the package at their office in Mississauga, it will save 1-2 days as compared

General: Is Canada moving towards another recession or what?
Started by: RBO on 15 Jan 2015
...House prices are going over the roof. Just saw a house listed in my neighborhood for 1 mils. A month ago, in the same neighborhood you could've bought for 700k. There are no bells and whistles. Bad news is the Townhome prices haven't increased a single dime. Mind it. It's just in Surrey, which is a distant suburb. Even with the budget of 600k, I am out of market already. No hope

...Hi Manjeeth, The season has already started in Canada. So most of the teams would have finalized their teams. If you dont get any response, try contacting the teams directly. Most of the teams and contacts can be found at cricketstar.net. Find a league around your place and click on club contacts. Your location shows that you are in Toronto, so the options are TDCA, CCAT, Scarborough CA, EDCL (game

Independent Category: `Phantom' residents to lose status. Immigrants in the Gulf are out of Luck!
Started by: RESP on 14 Oct 2007
...ile as a majority of people from Abu Dhabi embassy applying for immigration are from the sub-continent. As far as evacution was concerned, India "air-lifted"111,000 civilians during the first Gulf war from Kuwait. No one payed anything for their evacuation nor did anyone ask the government (Indian) why we spent this money on evacuation. Even during Lebanese conflict Indians were evacuted by Indian Navy. No questions asked....
