After about a couple of months on reaching India I got a letter at my Indian address asking me to submit the passport which I did by sending them by SpeedPost from India (since no reputable courier companies would knowingly accept Passports as courier packages - because of the liability they might have if somebody steals it). After a month or so, the Canadian Embasy in UK returned the passports back to me duly stamped, etc. That's my experience. We moved to Toronto in October. No problems at the airport. I am not really sure if it's against the law as you mentioned since none of the courier companies I contacted expressly said so and also the Indian Govt owned post...

   ...Sindhi looks too gimmicky :( . Just keep good prices, good service, good quantity, good food , good hygiene and people will come :). Don't try to save a buck or so here and there by cutting corners, in the long run it's not worth it. You won't get repeat customer's and you will go bankrupt and under soon :( Cut all the other BS and trying to be too smart with fancy names on the menu, funny quotes on the wall, some gimmicky decor :(. These days people don't really care or not

Mississauga - go to DIXIE VALUE MALL and if you really wanna know what boxing day is about.... cross the border and spend a couple days in the USA. I've heard that that's where the REAL boxing day sales happen. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Better luck next year. P.S. No you don't only get the crappy stuff on sale. So the parents knew about the entry requirements. This is sheer carelessness on the part of the parents. The airlines should have denied them boarding and they did not.
