India that you describe is actually hindustan or baharat, while India or Indian food describe a little more than just one country at the moment. It is like America which desribes more than on ecountry. Food in hindustan, baharat, Pakistan, Bangladesh is very similar becasue tehy were the same people partitioned by two failed politicians who could work out htere differences adn split hte country into pieces and disturbed the peace. Rasoi & Restaurants: Indian restaurants in Food Courts
Started by: meghal on 30 Oct 2004
...Ahh meghal now someone has spoken. Unlike others, who like to "indluge in educated wishful thinking", you have given a valid suggestion as to how someone can get visibility in front of Canadians... Shops in food courts are the best recourse. The closest I ever had was a desi eatout in the University of Calgary student's centre. It was operated by Kenyan's... Ppl infact asked us to avoid that shop as the food was yucky !.. Apparently they had a non-desi cooking the food ! I have heard of some desi eat outs in New York city.. Can someone confirm that ?

We used a LCL and the fee was around $ 1600. However we told them to port at Tuticorin TN where I had to pay a bribe of Rs 70,000 to take it from the customs though my New stuff was worth just Rs. 1 lakhs (Rexin sofa and some small stuff like pizza oven etc..) But I heard that if it had been sent to busy ports like chennai or cohcin the bribe would have been less than Rs 20,000 So see the worth of the stuff before bringing it. Murali

Not every radio host thinks every Indian is punjabi. Rashmi program has hindi, punjabi and hinglish. Radio voice has hindi and Gujrati Band Baja has Hindi/urdu mix As you mentioned Rashmi speaks shuddh hindi (you have problem with that too now) Even Radhika Speaks hindi most of the time? Another upcoming area is around the Hurontario and the 407 area (Was developing in 2011 when I left). All these palces have good schools in which 50 - 90 % of the students (depending on the locations) will be Indians. On recommendation 1 and 2, there will be a lot of rich middle eastern children. For 3 year old, there are lot of local Desi as well as professional daycare options are available. Welcome to Mississauga. Murali from India

Now this depends on what you are willing to spend to settle in Canada. For example, Canada, gives free food through food banks for people who donot have money. If you have very low savings / no money for food, you can use that. Also Canada provides welfare for people with less than $ 2500 savings. Welfare amount is $ 1400 per month. Will you take welfare?
