   Taipan is good: ...cribe it in one phrase "value for money". Its well organized. Few things to be kept in mind: 1. There is $ 7 tip to tour guide per day per person, which is to be paid in advance once you leave Toronto. 2. Make sure you have enough cash to pay for all sight seeing and food, as it is collected in advance once you depart Toronto. 3. If you are veggie, make sure you find your alternatives. I am going to try one of the US tour this year and will shortly write a review once I am back. Thanks.

   ......including me and my brother. I still have my family including another brother in India and his lifestyle is more westernised than mine :). The younger generation in India is seeking and finding independence in greater degrees each day. Their affluence only adds to their confidence. Society is changing in Indian cities, faster than it is here. With the surge in economy this process will only be accelerated. I understand going to India for economic opportunities...but to 'Indianize'(whatever that means) kids??? Yes the kids will celebrate Indian festivals, speak Indian languages etc, but as for retaining a conservative mindset (which I think is the big issue that bothers our friends here...

Of course at the entry counters, Money changers people speak English. Paris is very very costly for food, unless you know insiders or eat at Mac Donalds. Just try to pack your lunch. Metro is your best option to move around the city. I sort of feel that the city is more like Chennai or Delhi with less population. Some of the cities include Rome, Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, etc. Overnight train travel between the cities so that day time can be sued to go around. I tend to separate 'culture' and 'values'especially when it comes to my kids. So my kids are raised up with stories from Indian mythology, exposed to Indian traditional music, art etc. They are also told stories of Indian history, festivals etc. Language is currently the missing piece of the puzzle. In my opinion, being desi does not automatically mean that one has the best values or even good values. My kids , 'Values' on the other hand, are learnt from my wife and me(for the most part).
