It is much closer to where I live, but we only go there as a last resort.

   ... to just submit these. He finally grudingly took it saying you will have to track the application yourself and provide if anything is missing. So all I can advise is to take a print of this web page http://cgitoronto.ca/content/pio-0 Take screenshots of each and every screen as you fill the online application and take a print out of that. You can take a photocopy of the Indian passport of parents (if doing for child), but really don't need to. The big mistake they do is asking for all the things that is needed when one is applying for OCI without realizing that burden of proving indian origin is already done when we got the PIO card. So stick to that argument and be prepared....

   Cannot Change your Birth Certificate.: ...f the local news papers. They will charge you for this. You will then be happy because it is what you want to be known as from that day. All this is to be done before you get your Citizenship. Then get a few good copies of the news paper and hang on to them like dear life. Get all of the Documents and update them. First your Indian Pass Port. That is the Only Legal Document you have to travel out of the country, so do it first. Then you can take your own sweet time to update the others.
