Though his office and designation is a Rubber stamp, it is good to have an educated and knowledgeable president.    ...Hi, We did all that right from here in Canada. ICICI bank sent us the account opening form and told us all the supporting documents that they need and we sent it to them. We do our fixed account and all Indian banking from here. They even suggested to us how we can transfer NRO funds with minimum tax payment. Try contacting them to whichever place you want to open your account. We did all this in Hyderabad. Though State Bank of India was pretty easy in the beginning but its difficult now. Try it.

This may not be of use to the posted who asked questions as she has family members in India but it will help people who land in India without knowing anyone.    ...Dear Mr.Massood Joomratty, CHC-Delhi has wrongly typed the Citizenship of my son in his CPR. This has happened because he was born in a different coutry and his mother (my wife) is a citizen of that country. But he's got Indian Passport !. The Name + Date of Birth + Passport # is fine. Other information in all of our CPR is Ok. Do I've to send it back our PP + CPRs to CHC or can it be corrected at the Port of entry. Thanks in advance.

Otherwise invest in a residential real estate in the city u are moving in, and rent it. my 2 cents are time tested, as present Indian government policy are not much for NRI investments.

Everyone knows for sure that this is a mess, done by Kalmadi , Dixit and team. Being an Indian, all I am saying is we need to get over it and if we cannot support it at least stop throwing Sh**. Whole world is watching the Tamasha and reporters got their story for next few months. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is going give his/her expert opinion about this being bad idea.    ...Hi Jeevan, Sorry. But it is very hard to find any part time jobs in Windsor as it is a dying city with the full effect of recession. Detroit is the same but you can never cross the border with an Indian passport. So bad luck. Donot belive in rumours. Dimple 2001 is from that area and he will guide you accordingly. Be ready to spend tons of money on the full study. The exchange rate is around Rs 53 for 1 C$. Peace

   ...ce. Their batting sucks big time. Besides, Jadeja was scoring well. Also, Dhoni did not face too many balls as he came towards the end of the innings and had no choice but to take chances by swinging his bat. Who knows, they might have posted a higher total for India. But overall, I found Indian batsmen rather uppish so far in this tournament.
