There are some who want to take the revolutionary route like some Chinese and Russkies and they have already engaged lawyers. These are backed by powerful Russian and Chinese personalities. Maybe you can do the same with powerful Indian personalities. Try. Here's anothe r FYI- I wrote to the MP in my riding who is South Asian signing my own name which is Indian sounding and got no reply. I rephrased the letter and sent different back-up ( articles in newspapers, mags etc) and signed it Michael Dudeskrio and would you believe it , within ten days I got a reply from the MP's office. Why would the woman be expected to be a 'master chef' when above these lines the author has written that its likely she's never 'entered a kitchen'? Why also would the woman be expected to avoid being demanding or avoid learning faster? To placate a fragile male ego? Thats insulting to males.    ...hello Dr. I don't know how old you are or when you did your ph.d in the US. Lets analyze. Indian experience is useless here. But amercian degree is useful. We don't know how good is the job market in research field. Your US ph.d degree can fetch you a job as an assistant to some professor in his project. You may try to look for such opportunities in chemical Engg. faculties. After gaining the canadian experience, you may get a breakthru somewhere and find some job close to what you are doing right now in India. Keep fingers crossed, but yes, start any job you get once you come here. Job market is very bad these days.

Indian voltage and N.American Voltage is different. India use 220V and N. America uses 110V. You should check you laptop and handycam adaptor if it supports 110V . Most of them do. If it does then you need a only a plug converter . You can get in dollar store/dollare biltz for a $1.00. If you appliance does not support 110V. Then you must buy as Step-down voltage converter. Here it cost from $30-$80 depending upon the watts.
