What is the Indian equivalent of the yellow pages? I moved to mississauga.. my normal travelling hours were in the morning..used to leave my home at 8.20 and was due to reach my work place at 10... the problem is crossing Toronto.. once u r on 427 then it is OK>....I used to take the 401 west..upto 427...then 427 south..and get on the QEW...the traffic on the 401 during peak hours is a mess..specially around Keele area... Returning was not bad for me.. around 8 pm, the roads r pretty much OK.. BUt the biggest problem for me was on...

Steel utensils found at the indian stores is not that good. Just bring enough money and clothes which can last for a few months and that should set you up. That way things are very easy here. Nothing to worry. Just get here and start working at the earliest possible.

They verify and report on your education credentials, (of course their main job is to compare your Indian education with US education but they report on the authenticity of universities too). The premium is slightly higher but considers PRE EXISTING conditions also. Further policies taken in Canada are far more costly than India. You can go to each of these co websites eg ICICI Lombard, Reliance General Ins co, Bajaj Allianze, Tata AIG, etc and based on your age etc, you can get online quotes. Trust this helps. RJ

If you have a very thick accent and want to practice,I have colleagues from other countries that have found Toastmasters to be very helpful. Our accent is what makes us unique. I find accents, especially indian accents very charming. Plus, when you try to emulate a canadian accent its very OBVIOUS. Be yourself. People respect that too :-)

Suddenly an Indian woman (she looked like a Punjabi with all white color and sharp feayures) came beside us and gave us some cloths that she had purchased saying that it would look good on us and taht it was very cheap. Included in that pile was a group of underwears at $0.44 each.
