Thanks to all those who spend endless time giving inputs to all those anxious immigrants.[/quote] Donmills/Sheppard is very good area. Metro/School/DayCare/Indian store/Cheap chinese food store(TON-TAI super market) is nearby. there is one huge building in front of Ton Tai Super market(chinese) and kids-daycare located inside building on ground floor. Rent is also reasonable in this area and no need to trave for buying food:) ...

...I was doing some research in Tai-pan tours as I was planning to go on one. I finally did not go on Tai-pan but went on my own with friends. My friend told me that the food is mainly chinese but hotels were very good. For montreal and other tours they mainly put the pax in Hilton. For Canadian tours they donot provide food but as you said they might be stopping at chinese restaurants which may not be a big problem for us. But I was hoping they would stop at some central place where you can get chinese as well as other stuff like McDonalds.

I have a very close AD (Australian Desi) who said that in the 90's, In MacDonalds, they used to give free milk for infants. This AD also used to receive dole from 2 provinces (through a loop hole). Do you care? There are very few "spots" in Mississauga from where you won't get direct bus to any GO station. Do you care? If not, why bother. BTW, those were my major criteria. ...

For them its like a toy they wont care after a month and then you have to take care of all the chores , walking , food etc and by that you will be so emotionally attach to them you will don't want to leave..    ...Just a addition to the Amit's message. Mississauga and Brampton(North of Mississauga) have more job opprtunities for new immigrants than any other c ity in the GTA. Although Square One is a nice area to live but it is bit expensive. Areas around 5-10 kms from Square One would bit cheaper and well connected thru the transit system. In case you are a technical professional, in the SQ1 area no many technical jobs are available. Just keep these things in mind when you decide on location. Thanks and regards. Biomed

When you go for OCI, indian councelate will ask you for your indian passport.. and at that time they will scan you passport for any such travel... and then you know the consequences...
