   ...You can have it transferred to your Indian a/c thru ICICI, SBI, Citi etc... Credit Cards are accepted in many stores in cities and major malls, but with the exchange rates, forex conversion fee etc, you will end up paying higher. Plus some credit card companies will block the transaction coming out of India for security reasons, unless you call and inform them specifically about your travel plans. Some shops in India will even charge you a 2-4% CC fees also, though that is not allowed by Visa/Master etc.

My Indian passport has the 'CANCELLED' stamp on it. By all accounts, i should not have anything to do with the surrender certificate. Magic Jack + for land line ( US & Canada free) Local Phone app on phone ...calling to India 1 c/m taxes in ... I use the above as well as an outdoor antenna .. you can keep it indoor also but buy an outdoor one ...for its capability. No Indian channels w/o bundles currently but that's due to change if we go by the news last month .
