   ...Hi: I am about to apply for PIO card for my kid; looking at the CGI website, it looks like I need to submit my original Indian passport, Record of Landing and PR card to them. I am not comfortable with this, since I will be out of documents for almost a month.. Are there any other options? If I go to consulate in person, will they verify and return the documents then itself or will they just accept it and mail it back to me along with the PIO card - in which case, I will be in the same no-document situation.    To elobrate: ...All I wanted to know was that if you were the parent of a 32 month old toddler in India, how would you start teaching him / her the Indian way? I canot recall my experience of studying / being taught as a 3 year old as my mother was suffering from depression and we were pertty much left to be taught by the govt. school in that area which were in remote villages. Also I donot recall seeing anyone teaching their 3 year olds during my growing up age / present age. Any further pointers? Peace out

Keeping all conditions same, a person working in Middle east will pay tax to Canadian govt if he is a Canadian but an Indian working in Middle east will pay tax to none.

Some additional (but required canadian) channel will cost you another 20. Indian channles are $15 each (ATN, B4U etc). So watching TV is costly here. News papers are quite cheap - $20 a month is good number. Magzines are damm costly!!

If you are looking for a change, you have to go for specialization after completion of Physiotherapist course. I believe you have to further take license exam after college programe. What he wanted was help in fixing the table, so that at least he can use it for sometime, which the owner flatly refused.
