He did not posted my post since PR card is the property of Canada gov and you can just have it and cannot send by post. so if your freind can keep it and give it to you when he comes back later then it is fine otherwise check with the other source

   ...Just wanna know from people who are ere earning a mimmum of 60,000 . How much do you get after TAX in hand and how much r u guys able to save and a brief details of expenses as well. I was just calculated the other day and came to conclusion that u need to earn a mimimum of 70,000 in order to save 10 lakh indian ($ 30,000 )approx; maintain a decent lifestyle and run a family of 4 but after speaking to some people they said that its not even possible to save that amount even after earning that amount. Thought the wonderful people on this wonderful forum will throw some light on this issue.

Each time it has been returned without the job being done. One time they even attested the wrong document and sent it back to me. However, I haven't been able to find anything that does the reverse i.e. enable an Indian 220v appliance to be used in North America 110v. An electronics store owner told me that it's easy to bring down 220v to 110v, however, nothing exists that can increase 110v to 220v. Surely, I am missing something.

Regardless of whats said about CGI-TO, they are really helpful as long as the case is genuine & one doesnt throw weight around. BTW, on one hand - given what some Indian MP's have done, its not surprising if the consulate wants ample time to verify with original docs and on the other you dont want to know how these docs are handled internally. :cool:

   ...I think Rajcanada hit the nail on the head. Ask yourself which items are the most expensive in Canada. A packet of garam masala may cost 30 cents (equivalent) in Indian but may may be $2 in Canada. But these packets still take up space. It is better to bring high value items which cost a lot more in Canada. Don't sweat the small stuf like spices etc. Just curious...if you are allowed only 2 bags checked in how are you plannig to fit ALL this stuff in addition to your clothes and other items??
